If I become Muslim, do I have to give up Jesus?No. A Muslim must believe in Jesus. Islam keeps what Christians love in him: his virgin birth, his miracles, his mercy and his return before the end.
Was Jesus crucified?No. The Qur'an says his enemies did not kill him and did not crucify him.
Who were the Ebionites, Nazarenes and Elkesaites, the early Jewish followers of Jesus?They were Jews who followed Jesus in the first centuries after him, and they kept the Law of Moses as he did.
Does the virgin birth make Jesus God or the Son of God?No. A birth without a father is a miracle, and a miracle does not make a man God.
Do Muslims believe Jesus will return?Yes. Muslims believe Jesus was never killed. God (﷾) raised him up alive, and he will come back before the Last Day.
Do Jesus' miracles and his going up to heaven prove he is God?No. Prophets before Jesus did the same kinds of miracles, and no one calls them God.
If sin is inherited, did Jesus inherit it through Mary?By the doctrine's own logic, he would have. Many Christians hold that every child inherits Adam's sin.
Was Jesus a prophet, and did he call himself one?Yes. Jesus called himself a prophet. On his way to Jerusalem he said, "it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem".
Was Jesus cursed by God on the cross?No. The Qur'an says his enemies did not kill Jesus or crucify him, so no curse ever touched him.
If Jesus was seen alive for 40 days, why did no one react?Because there was no risen man to react to. Acts says Jesus was seen alive for forty days, after a public execution in Jerusalem.

Whatever came before is forgiven

If you become Muslim, your past sins are wiped away. When Amr ibn al-As came to accept Islam, he held back his hand until he knew he would be forgiven, and the Prophet (ﷺ) asked him whether he did not know that Islam wipes out everything that came before it. The Qur'an promises more: for the one who repents, believes and does good, God changes his bad deeds into good ones.
