God

How can three be one in the Trinity?Three cannot be one in the way the Trinity needs, and its own creed shows why.
Why can there only be one God?There can only be one God, because two gods could not both be God. Two all-powerful beings would limit each other, and a god who can be limited is not God.

Qur'an

Why does the Qur'an criticise Muhammad (ﷺ) if he wrote it?He did not write it, and these rebukes are part of the proof. A man making up a scripture to win followers has every reason to leave out any blame of himself.
Do the oldest Qur'an manuscripts match today's Qur'an?Yes. The oldest Qur'an manuscripts read as the Qur'an reads today. Two leaves at the University of Birmingham were carbon dated in 2015, most likely to between 568 and 645 CE.
How is the Qur'an different from the Prophet's (ﷺ) own words (hadith)? The Qur'an is the word of God (﷾), recited exactly as the angel Gabriel brought it.
Why did Uthman burn copies of the Qur'an?To keep the recitation united, and to stop partial private copies being taken as the standard text.
Could Muhammad (ﷺ) have learned the Qur'an's science from the Greeks or Persians? No. Greek science did exist in the region, but none of it was in Arabic in the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
Is the Qur'an foretold in the Bible?Yes. Several passages in the Bible fit the Qur'an closely. In Deuteronomy, God (﷾) promises a prophet like Moses and says He will put His words in his mouth.
Does the Qur'an ask for blind faith? No. The Qur'an asks to be tested, not taken on trust. It uses one word, ayat (signs), for its own verses and for the things of creation.
Is the Qur'an still passed down by memory?Yes. The Qur'an was always first a book to be recited. Its very name means "the recitation".
Do Muslims believe in the books God gave Moses and Jesus?Yes. Belief in God's (﷾) books is part of a Muslim's faith. The Qur'an says God (﷾) gave the Torah to Moses, the Psalms to David and the Injil (the Gospel Jesus preached) to Jesus.
Was any other scripture kept like the Qur'an?Not in the same way. The Qur'an was learned by heart and written down while the Prophet (ﷺ) lived.

Whatever came before is forgiven

If you become Muslim, your past sins are wiped away. When Amr ibn al-As came to accept Islam, he held back his hand until he knew he would be forgiven, and the Prophet (ﷺ) asked him whether he did not know that Islam wipes out everything that came before it. The Qur'an promises more: for the one who repents, believes and does good, God changes his bad deeds into good ones.

What happens to my past sins? The shahada
