Did Confucius tell us what comes after death?
Confucian: this life is the concern
Many Confucian teachers keep to the duties of this life. They hold that Confucius was wise to leave spirits and death aside, and that a good life needs no teaching about what follows.
The case for it
Confucius wisely left spirits and death aside. He taught that to admit what you do not know is knowledge (Analects 11.11; 6.20; 2.17).
Where it falls short
Granted: honest ignorance is better than a guess, and Islam asks no one to pretend. But it leaves the question standing. The Qur'an says the unseen is known to God (﷾) alone, and that He tells a messenger He has chosen (72:26-27).
