A Buddhist's objections, answered
Step 1 of 7
Aren't all religions paths to the same God?
Buddhist: only one path ends suffering
Many Buddhists today speak kindly of every religion. But near the end of his life, the Buddha himself told the wandering seeker Subhadda that the noble eightfold path is found only in his teaching.
The case for it
Only in the teaching where the noble eightfold path is found are there true ascetics. The other groups have none.
Where it falls short
Then the Buddha agrees with Islam on one thing: religions are not all roads to the same place. The question is which one comes from the One who made us. Every messenger God (﷾) sent brought one message: worship Him alone. And the Qur'an asks to be tested before it is believed.
